上海美斯恩网络通讯技术有限公司是由微软公司与上海联和投资有限公司共同投资成立的中外合资有限责任公司。公司在2005年3月30日取得了中国信息产业部颁发的增值电信业务经营许可证，并于2005年4月8日正式成立。公司的业务范围包括：在全国范围内开展网上信息和数据库检索（包括因特网信息服务，提供电子邮件服务，为移动电话经营商提供内容服务）；设计、创作网上内容；软件研发和经营；从事营销业务；提供咨询服务。
自成立至今，上海美斯恩网络通讯技术有限公司取得了诸多成绩：
2005年5月：MSN中国门户网站：www.msn.com.cn 正式发布
2005年6月：网络浏览页面量增加40%
2005年7月：Hotmail个人信箱扩容至250兆
2005年8月：MSN Messenger 7.5 发布
2005年9月：MSN Messenger7.5用户达到900万
2005年9月15日：MSN移动服务推出

Shanghai MSN Network Communications Technology Co., Ltd is a limited liability Sino-foreign joint venture co-funded by Microsoft and Shanghai Alliance Investment Co., Ltd. The company’s business license for a value-added telecom business was issued by the Ministry of Information Industry on March 30, 2005 and it was officially founded on April 8, 2004. The business scope of the company includes: nationwide online information and database search (including Internet Information Service, Email service and content service for mobile phone operator), design and creation of online content; software R&D and operation; business operation; and consulting services.

May 2005: MSN's China portal website www.msn.com.cn formally launched
June 2005: The website page views increased 40%
July 2005: Hotmail mailbox storage expanded to 250 MB for each user
August 2005: MSN Messenger 7.5 launched
September 2005: MSN Messenger 7.5 users reached 9 million
September 15, 2005: MSN mobile service launched
