Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:
System verification testing of RAN release SW.
Purpose of the task is to with verification testing to ensure SW is working as specified and meeting the set quality targets. Equally important is to find problems from the SW and to ensure corrections are working for found faults. Tasks include test case design, case execution, fault troubleshooting, and execution reporting in own responsibility area. Maintain 3G Radio Network software, hardware, and configuration to ensure functionality of the radio network and enable testing activities.

Requirements:

2+ years work experience
Good knowledge of 3G RAN (At least understanding basic structure and usage of it).

BUSINESS UNIT DESCRIPTION:
The 3G System Verification Team is taking care of testing NSN UTRAN Releases on network level. This is the last verification phase before a network release is given to customers for network roll-out. With our testing we are making sure that a UTRAN Release is having the needed quality. Faults being found during this testing phase are typically faults originating from running a UTRAN Release in a whole customer-like network.

Our team is focusing on Call Processing and Transmission&Transport specific features in the beginning and is part of a global organization taking care of all aspects that require System Verification on a network level. Current focus is on 3G WCDMA but will soon start with LTE-TDD and WiMax.

Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main purpose of the chief engineer role is to drive, contribute and assure that TD-LTE eNB architecture is in line with LTE eNB architecture framework.
